Radi na Fakultetu dramskih umetnosti od 1978. godine.

Diplomirala 1975. godine Organizaciju kulturno-umetničkih delatnosti, i magistrirala Nauke o dramskim umetnostima u oblasti organizacije kulturno-umetničkih delatnosti 1981. na FDU, a doktorirala je Književne nauke – komunikologiju 1990. godine na Filološkom fakultetu u Beogradu.
Usavršavanje na Univerzitetu Pariz VIII-Vincennes (Diplome d’etudes approfondies, 1976/77) i Pariz V Sorbonne (1977/78).

Izabrana je u zvanje redovnog profesora 1995. godine.

Šef je Katedre za menadžment i produkciju u pozorištu, radiju i kulturi. Šef UNESKO katedre Univerziteta umetnosti (Kulturne politike i menadžmenta).

Rektor Univerziteta umetnosti (2001 – 2004). Profesor na Evropskoj diplomi kulturnog menadžmenta (Brisel), gost predavač na univerzitetima u Evropi i Sjedinjenim državama…

Uređivala časopise: Kultura (Beograd), International Journal in Cultural Policy, Zbornik radova Fakulteta dramskih umetnosti, a od 1992. urednik je edicije: Kultura, umetnost, mediji Instituta za pozorište, film, radio i televiziju u kojoj je izašlo 20 knjiga.
